A celebrated heritage.
Wallaceville House was built early last century by celebrated architect Mr. Charlesworth, whose vision for a grand country estate on the hills of Upper Hutt created one of Wellington’s most distinctive historic properties.
During WWII, Mr Dick Jepsen purchased the property and made substantial alterations, including the majestic staircase and the elegant upstairs ballroom that remains the centrepiece of the venue today.
In 1993 the property was further developed with the addition of a 16-room motor lodge, providing guests with comfortable on-site accommodation amidst the beautiful grounds.
Today, Wallaceville House is a premiere Wellington wedding and events venue — boasting quality motel-style accommodation, a resident chef, and magnificent gardens surrounded by native bush.
